It would’ve been very helpful to show how to start it. Otherwise a good video
Don't have that machine any more, but for it and similar engines: If the engine is cold, set it to full Choke and Prime it a few times. If it doesn't start after 3 pulls, prime it another time or two. If the engine is hot, don't Choke or Prime the engine.
I saw a video aground hog fit thru that fencing!
Even after he ate a belly full?
You can grow it from seed too, it's really easy to maintain, no wonder it's invasive
Sounds like a moth flame of sorts! LOL
Worthless use of bandwidth.
Thanks for watching the Bobscaping channel!
I like them but you have get an extra battery to charge when the other one dies it's a good alternative to use less gas lightweight and much quieter which apparently upsets people that they can't constantly use products that produce toxic fumes into the atmosphere forever..
Good point on having a backup battery. Through my purchases of several rechargeable units of the same brand, I have both the small battery and the large one. The large one feels too heavy in the handheld units, like the leafblower and weedwhacker, but it can be used for a backup. More here: ua-cam.com/video/3qHgl6WUdLM/v-deo.html
Imma be honest.. M feelin it and at first i was like damm those buds are gonna turn out nice..... And then, I realized😶🌫
Good to see some honey bees, hardly ever see them on clover any more.
Maybe call that bud 'Lamby Whammy'
"This aint zaza" Kush💀💀
no it ain't
Those flowers look very similar to marijuana flowers growing in nature. Cultivated ones obviously have big fat flowers.
Great insight!
My Granma’s best plants were the ones she absolutely went at in spring and fall. The moment they came back, there were absolutely gorgeous 😊
That is awesome!
Hey Bob, Hemlock trees get quite "bunchy".. Can they be thinned out removing say, half of the branches to give it more of an ornamental and detailed look? I see that quite often with Norway Spurce trees, so wondering what your thoughts if Eastern Hemlocks could also do the same.. Thanks as always
Sometimes it's good to cut 'holes' or openings into evergreens to allow more light to reach inner branches, but the key is not to overdo it. Doing it in stages over a couple years would probably be a good idea.
What if your spruce develops two leaders? Should you trim one off?
That is always my choice, maintaining a single main trunk for a stronger tree structure.
You need a bush flowbee
You got me on that one! ‘FLOWBEE’ wasn’t even in my vocabulary! Rick E. Hunts, a San Diego, California carpenter, was granted a US patent in 1987. Maybe Mr. Hunts will patent a new version of his product for shrubs. From Wikipedia: “The Flowbee is an electrically powered vacuum cleaner attachment made for cutting hair. Hair cutting devices like the Flowbee are used by astronauts during spaceflight missions, including on the ISS..."
Perfect! I remember those goofy ads and infomercials. We all still had hair, lol and long hair back then. “Business up front, party in the back”.
Still works for that young Pirates pitcher Jared Jones! "Play ball!"
Can this be used for hydrangeas?
Check the label to be sure, but I don't see why not.
@@bobscapingthank you!
thank you
You're welcome
What’s the best way to clean up the trimmings?
A: Have someone else do it? LOL
I love how at 1st it was like get outta my area, then it was like ok I'm goin😂
Neighbor says she basically lives there in the glade, had 2 fawns with her last year.
Oh my gosh, I am watching this during an interval for The Walking Dead 😂😂😂 thank you, best recommendation I have found 🎉
What amazing timing!
You should name it if it dosent have a name already. I suggest Woody :P
...or maybe 'Boxstar' as a spin on the Porsche model?
Hi Bob, I have a Loblolly pine that I am trimming. Do I have to protect the cuts by sealing them against bark beetles or other pests? I read somewhere that I have to trim the candles by hand; you are using a sharp cutter. What's your advice?
I've never dealt with Loblolly pines, so really can't say for sure, but the pines here in Pennsylvania begin bleeding a gummy sap as soon as the candles are trimmed, which later hardens into a whitish pitch. Self-sealing you might say. You can use any sort of sharp pruning tool, Christmas tree farms actually used to use machetes. I've used everything from hand pruners, to hand shears, to pole pruners, to power shears. You and the tools will likely get sticky!
lilacs are remarkably Hardy
The only major problem here appears to be the Lilac borer.
Thanks Bob. A few suggestions, when stems are removed they should be removed completely to the ground or as close to that as you can cut. Secondly it's important not to cut back the replacement stems at all unless that stem is developing a structural problem which could be addressed at that time. If you head back the stems that you want to be replacements you will stunts them unnecessarily and create a wound that will potentially induce rot and alter the growth pattern of the stem. You want those stems to grow big and vertical and healthy and strong, heading Cuts defeats that goal! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for sharing your own opinions. Here's a recent follow-up video of that Lilac fully regrown: ua-cam.com/users/shortstrT2aZFb9Ts
Nice video. Nice work
While that Barberry is still growing there, recent recommendations have called for the removal of all Barberries due to their potential spread into the wild, as well as being considered a shrub that harbors deer ticks, which can carry Lyme Disease.
What make of boxwood trimmer is that? Thank you
ECHO
Cool!
The loppers have never failed me. Owned em about 8 years or so.
Good to know!
Thank u Bob! Just what I needed
Gotcha!
That is not a song sparrow
Likely a Sandling according to my bird expert.
What tool do you use to sharpen your trimmers?
Dremel tool with a wedge-shaped abrasive bit.
What store did you find this at?
Seems it was either Lowes or Home Depot.
This is granulated elemental sulfur. You can find these at a lot of garden centers and nurseries. If you can't find it around your area then it's easy find them online. In a pinch aluminum sulfate will do, but be careful with aluminum sulfate. Any fertilizer with a sulfate like magnesium sulfate will lower the pH level though. Sulfur will take longer to lower the pH than sulfates though since sulfur needs be broken down.
Thatd keep you fit using it for an hour🥵
LOL
awesome video sir. As an architect, I recommend including a "T" at the end of the deadman so that the deadman has more tearout/bearing and provides more support for the wall. Also, try to offset, uphill, the timbers at least 1/4" per layer so they lean back into the hill. For your purposes here, this should work very well.
Definitely good ideas, especially for longer and higher walls! I need to get back down to that job site to record a fresh video of this past project, to see how it's doing.
Mock orange is native my friend
I stand corrected! Thanks for commenting.
@@bobscaping no worries man, that privet is no joke! keep making videos
Corrected the video title and added links to the invasive plant lists for Pennsylvania.
Once they bloom the nectar will make great honey if you have bees
Didn't know that, thanks!
Really like Bob’s videos
Looks like 'trimming time' will be a month early this year, so more coming soon!
Such beautiful flowers 😊
They are!
Been using it last few seasons, works great if you apply it correctly!
Ah yes --applying it correctly-- and not creating "skunk stripes" in the lawn.
I have a lot of flower pots and I feed them with tomato feed once a week from April onwards up to August.
Is that a liquid fertilizer, and what analysis?
@@bobscaping It's a liquid fertiliser 5-5-9 NPK very cheap to buy here in Ireland
Hope works with rain barrel
You might need the water pressure from a typical home connection to make a soaker hose like that one work.
That's straight up criminal. .. I vote to save the tree though, its too heartbreaking to see that lovely princess die.
Those bagworms are sneaky critters, masters of camouflage!
Why it look kinda sus thou
'Sus' meaning suspicious I guess(?) As long as a trowel doesn't bend or break, it should last a lifetime. Never used this particular one, but paying extra for quality tools usually pays off.
My boss sent me to do this for the 1st time today. No training. Just handed me the fert so here I am on the job site watching this lol
Hope it helped!
Omg 85% of it is mulch!
Guess they do that for the convenience of a "1-step" application.
That bag is full of stuff that looks like insulation which is intended to act as cover for the seed, like spreading straw. Pure waste of money.
What brand/model is this?
Those are ECHO trimmers with the extended shaft, not sure what the current model number is.
Thank you Bob
Could you post some photos of your plants and how they're doing please 👀
Just getting ready to select annuals for the 50 flower pots on the deck, so stay tuned!
I’ve grown poison hemlock before for ornamental use but I never ate it,or touched it without gloves.
I've read that tomatoes were once thought to be poisonous, and only grown as ornamentals, but there's nothing quite like a fresh homegrown tomato on your sandwich!
How do I install to a sprinkler zone?
Good question! Most nurseries use that spaghetti tubing for individual pots, maybe start there.
I would love to see this when it's flowering :)
Great idea!
I don't know the people who live there now, but did get this video for you yesterday: ua-cam.com/users/shortstrT2aZFb9Ts
I love my goldflame spirea. Grows fast and the leaves are just as great as the blooms
We often used various gold spirea shrubs in landscapes to add some color, plus the whitetail deer tend to leave them alone.
